Bio

Maria is a half uruguayan - half italian audiovisual content director and producer based in Europe.

 

She has worked and developed, since 2011, projects in various formats; for different production companies around Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Berlin, where she has lived since 2017. She has studied a 4-year degree in Audiovisual Production in Uruguay and a 2-year degree in Film and Digital Cinematography in Argentina.

 

With more than 10 years of experience, she has worked as a Director, Assistant Director, Producer, and in the Camera Department on both sides of the Atlantic.

 

Burghi has led different processes, teams and means of work in a filmmaking ecosystem characterised by a multiplicity of interests, complexities and constant innovation. Challenges taken on that accredit experience in the management, handling and leadership of production teams. Her interest is focused on the creation, development and implementation of projects in feature films, short films, series & commercials.
